Starting a New Quilt

Today I'm going to start a new quilt! I've been collecting the fabric for a couple of years now and I finally have it all. The quilt is called the Candy Cane Quilt and its out of the American Patchwork quilting magazine from December 2004. This is the picture that's in the magazine but I just noticed that is upside down. I've always wanted to do a red and white quilt and when I saw this in the magazine I marked the page and decided that I would start working on finding the right fabric's for it.
Will here they are, all but one I did finally found the large checked fabric the other day. It was really hard to find it and I finally found one at Jo Ann's fabric. I really don't shop there for quilting fabric but I was not having any luck finding it. So its not as nice as the rest of the fabric but it will do. The quilt is going to hang in the hall in place of my Underground railroad quilt at Christmas time. So I'm hoping to have it done by the end of November. So I'm going to start today and work on it though Sunday we will see how far I get. It shouldn't take to long its a very easy pattern and the quilt is only 60X85.

So wish me luck!

Julie
