Sweaters done and on the blocking board

While finishing my sweaters Thursday I received a very shocking phone call from my office letting me know that a friend that has worked for us for the last five or six years had taken her own life that morning. I've know her since she was a little girl her Dad and I have been close friends for thirty years. The last time I saw and talked to her was Monday morning when I had to call her into my office to talk. So it was very hard to believe that she would do something like this. She left a wonderful family and two sweet little girls.!
After managing to finish the sweaters and get them on the blocking board I went to my loom and got the warp on the warping board and onto the loom. It gave me something else to think about. I still haven't finished getting it warped but its coming along. Hopefully I will be weaving soon!

  1. How very sad it was to read about your colleague. I am so sorry, words cannot express the shock and sadness. We have also had peole we were close to commit suicide. It is such a terrible tragedy.

How nice when you are at the blocking stage of the projects!

  2. Julie, I am so, so sorry to hear about your friend. I know it's a helpless feeling to think of anyone being desperate enough to thake their own life.

On the other hand, I'm very excited that you're getting your loom dressed!
