Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! I know we did and it all began with Wednesday pie making day. My daughter and I spent the day making pumpkin and apple pies. And boy it they taste good and I think they looked pretty good also.
I have these great little cutters that make leaves, acorns, and pumpkins.

On Thanksgiving Day we only had the kids for pie it was the year that they all go to there in laws for dinner. It was the first year in our marriage that we where alone for dinner. But it turned out to be such a nice day. We got up and put our turkey in the oven and decided to decorate the house for Christmas. So down went the fall decor and out came the Christmas. Last year we moved into the house three days before Christmas so I didn't put up to much stuff. So it was fun to get everything out and decided what I was going to use and where. There will be pictures coming!
Then on Friday we got up at 4:00am and yes we went shopping! I know I think we are crazy too! The rest of the long weekend was spent knitting, also pictures to come.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Julie

  1. Hello! I just discovered your blog and I think it's very interesting. The first thing that caught my eye was your banner. Love the spinning wheel and the coziness of the picture. I love to knit and crochet and love Craftsman style. My daughter whom I share our blog with, is into scrapbooking. We love everything vintage and I love country, too! Have a very nice day! Twyla
