DragonFly Quilt is now quilted!
I went last night on my way home from work to pick up my Dragonfly quilt from the quilt shop. They did such a nice job quilting it but then they always do! I not going to show it to you tell I get the binding on and I have already started working on that.
Just thought you would like to see one of my pumpkin blocks! It starting to look a little like a pumpkin all it needs is its stem.
Have a wonderful day!

Pumpkin Quilt coming along!
I've spent the last couple of days working on my pumpkin quilt and my loom. I got the pumpkins and the leaves all cut out and started sewing them together.
If you remember I won a Moda Martinique jelly roll so I ordered a couple of books on Jelly Roll quilts. They both have some really nice patterns but I found the one I'm going to use in the Jelly Roll Quilts.
I went through the jelly roll and found the two fabric's that I'm going to use for the backing and the binding. The flower one will be the backing and the dots will be the binding. I ordered them today so now I will need to get a crisp white for the background and get my pumpkin quilt done so I can start this one!
Have a wonderful day!

Quilt Ladder
I just had to show the Quilt ladder that hubby made me! A few weeks ago I was telling him that I wanted one to hang some of my quilts on so out he went and found some wood that he had left over from other projects and whipped me one up. All I had to do was paint it black and hang some quilts on it.

Happy Valentines Day!
And what a February it has been with the death of one close friend on the 4Th and then on the following Tuesday I got a call at work from my daughter she was in so much pain and didn't know what to do . So I called my son-n-law to hurry home to get her to the hospital. He was about 20 min away and I was an hour away. I meet them at the hospital and took the little boys home while they decided what was wrong. She had surgery the next day and the removed three large kidney stones from her right kidney. They couldn't break them up because the kidney wasn't working and couldn't flush them out. So they went in and pulled them out and put in a shunt to drain the kidney. The doctor thinks the stones had been there for over nine months. She still has several more in the left kidney but they won't be able to work on it tell they hopefully get the right one working.
But to top the whole week off on the day that Jessica went into the hospital another good friend and the owner of the company I have worked for, for over thirty years passed away. So yes this was one hard and very sad week!
Happy Valentines Day!

Sweaters done and on the blocking board
While finishing my sweaters Thursday I received a very shocking phone call from my office letting me know that a friend that has worked for us for the last five or six years had taken her own life that morning. I've know her since she was a little girl her Dad and I have been close friends for thirty years. The last time I saw and talked to her was Monday morning when I had to call her into my office to talk. So it was very hard to believe that she would do something like this. She left a wonderful family and two sweet little girls.!
After managing to finish the sweaters and get them on the blocking board I went to my loom and got the warp on the warping board and onto the loom. It gave me something else to think about. I still haven't finished getting it warped but its coming along. Hopefully I will be weaving soon!

Another New Chair and end table
Like I said before I'm starting a knitting group and we will be meeting at my house so I really wanted to start fixing up the craft studio. I found this cute little table for $25.00 maybe a little over priced but I really liked it. I do think it needs a new paint job they just didn't paint it very well!
I also found this great chair that is brand new for only $40.00, not to bad for new! My daughter has already claimed this chair for the knitting group!
I couldn't find the same color for the table so I went with a blue called wildflower. I really liked the name of it. I added some of my grandmothers doily's and a new lamp from Target!
I was thinking about recovering the chair but I think that can wait, I'm liking the way it looks with my rug! But then you never know a new rug could be coming!
