Hard Work!

Will can you believe it the new guy showed up on Friday and Saturday and boy is my yard looking beautiful! The only rocks that are left is the ones holding up the mountain.
This is the rock wall that you see walking out of the back door and I managed to move all of the herbs I had planted last year out front and some more new ones! I also planted some ground cover roses that have had a hard time with our up and down weather here!

Next year it should all fill in and look much better but in the mean time I will still continue to find more to plant.

This is the front of the house and the curb guy will be coming on Wednesday to get the curbing around the trees and for my flower beds out there. But look no rocks!!!

Except for the rock wall but I have 75 daylillies that should be delivered by the 7th of July that will feel between the rock walls. I'm sure I will have enough to put in other flower beds around the yard!
Have a wonderful summer day and I hope your yard is coming along!

Yard Man No Show!

Yes this is my yard and this isn't what is was going to look like this week. We had hired a guy to come after hubby got all the sprinklers in and grade it and put top soil down.
Will guess what he did not show up on Thursday or Friday and hubby tried to call and left several messages but never have heard back from him. So we called several other guys to come out and give us bids and the last guy we really liked.

He will be out Friday and Saturday this week to get her done we hope! Have you ever seen so many rocks?
Lets all hope this week is my lucky week!

New Red Flowers

Out with the yellow tulips and in with the red geraniums. This basket has worked just great on the front door when I saw these red geraniums on sale at Jo Ann's I grabbed a bunch came home pulled out the yellow tulips and put in the geraniums, how easy is that!
They look great on the front door and they go well with the new red chairs.

And then I planted some real live ones in my pots but they are just taking there little time blooming.
Have a beautiful summer day!

New Red Chairs

The snow has finally stopped and it has warmed up and now there is flooding! We had this same problem back in 1983 when they had to make one of our main roads a river to direct the water away from homes. We live in such a crazy area but I'm so happy to have warm whether. I was able to paint my bakers rack and unwrap the new red chairs for the front porch.
I'm thinking a outdoor rug would be nice and I think Paisley would enjoy one! It would just make it seem cozy and warm.

I still need to find some more fun things to put on the rack but I think it looks pretty good so far.

The front of the house is coming along nicely I have the two beds filled with flowers now if hubby could just get the rest of the yard done! He is working very hard at doing that and it should be ready for grass next week, I hope!
I hope you are having nice whether and getting allot of yard work done!

Mad about my wrap!

I started this beautiful wrap from the fall 2009 Interweave magazine and I was going along great but did notice that the cable pattern just didn't seem right.
So I got out the picture that is in the magazine and thought boy that just doesn't look anything like the picture. Hum I wonder if there was a correction for this pattern so I got onto Interweave
magazine and sure enough the whole cable pattern was wrong. I always check these things before I start but I don't know why I didn't this time. Will it looks like I will be undoing this back to the start of the cables.
I hope your day is filled with sunshine!
