Starting a New Quilt

I took my Dragonfly quilt in to have it machine quilted yesterday after work so now its time to start a new quilt. So I decided to work on a quilt for fall one with pumpkins which I just happen to love!
This is my collection of the Gobble Gobble fabric line. I love how bright it is and the oranges will make such colorful pumpkins!

I'm just not sure about using the striped for the background I just might need to look for something a little less busy!

Sweaters done and on the blocking board

While finishing my sweaters Thursday I received a very shocking phone call from my office letting me know that a friend that has worked for us for the last five or six years had taken her own life that morning. I've know her since she was a little girl her Dad and I have been close friends for thirty years. The last time I saw and talked to her was Monday morning when I had to call her into my office to talk. So it was very hard to believe that she would do something like this. She left a wonderful family and two sweet little girls.!
After managing to finish the sweaters and get them on the blocking board I went to my loom and got the warp on the warping board and onto the loom. It gave me something else to think about. I still haven't finished getting it warped but its coming along. Hopefully I will be weaving soon!

Another New Chair and end table

Like I said before I'm starting a knitting group and we will be meeting at my house so I really wanted to start fixing up the craft studio. I found this cute little table for $25.00 maybe a little over priced but I really liked it. I do think it needs a new paint job they just didn't paint it very well!
I also found this great chair that is brand new for only $40.00, not to bad for new! My daughter has already claimed this chair for the knitting group!

I couldn't find the same color for the table so I went with a blue called wildflower. I really liked the name of it. I added some of my grandmothers doily's and a new lamp from Target!
I was thinking about recovering the chair but I think that can wait, I'm liking the way it looks with my rug! But then you never know a new rug could be coming!

In Memory Of Toby

My little grand dog Toby passed away Sunday morning! We have no idea why he was only two years old. He was such a sweet puppy and as you can see a very cute guy! Its so hard on a family when they have to say goodbye to there family pet!

Finding some great chairs!

While on a search for some chairs for my craft studio I came across these two! I love the red one but there is no padding under the fabric which made it a very hard chair! The white one is cute but I'm not to found of the blue and white fabric!
So I took off the fabric on the red one and added several layers of batting. And as for the white chair it got new batting and some new red fabric! I'm not sure if it will stay the red checked but for now it will do!

I Won!!

One of my favorite blogs homestead quilting had a contest and I won! I couldn't believe that it was me that had won. And I got this wonderful package in the mail yesterday! I love the little Moda Bake Shop cupcakes, it has a pattern in the box for a bag. And the jelly roll has such pretty fabric's they should make a beautiful quilt! And then there is the square fabric to make a baby quilt.

Boy lots more quilting to be done!

Dragon Fly quilt almost done!

I can't believe its been a week since my last post, where did the time go! We've been busy putting a refinisher on all of our wood floors so the computer was hard to get too. And I had to spend most of my days off up in my craft room while the floor was drying. But it gave me a chance to get my quilt finished and work on my knitting. As you can see the quilt is done and ready to take to be quilted.

And I did manage to almost complete one of the sweaters!
